East Bay Children’s Law Offices is recognized as a child advocacy program under CA Code of Civil Procedure section 384 making us eligible to receive cy pres awards.

A great big thanks to Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP as well as Renuka Jain and Ira Spiro whose recent case provided a generous cy pres check to East Bay Children’s Law Offices. EBCLO provides the highest quality child advocacy in three programs: the Dependency Advocacy Program, the Guardianship Counsel for Children Program and the Community-based Advocacy for Resources and Education program. We are court appointed to represent Alameda County’s most vulnerable children and youth and provide advocacy both in and out of court to nearly 2000 children each year. If you are interested in awarding cy pres funds to EBCLO and have any questions, please contact Executive Director Kristin Mateer.
