Just as news that the White House was issuing regulations chipping away at the rights of children being held in detention at the border, the EBCLO staff was busy making its own statement.  We joined a youth led movement, The Butterfly Effect, to create 15,000 butterflies representing the 15,000 children detained at our southern border.  Our staff made 150 butterflies out of outdated law books and annual reports so the heart and soul of our advocacy work is in each butterfly.  You are invited to stop by the office to see the display, but more importantly, you are invited to join the movement and create your own butterfly display.  Make sure to report your efforts to the young leaders at The Butterfly Effect to help them reach their 15,000 butterfly goal!
