Preschool Special Education

If you suspect that your 3-5-year-old child may have a developmental delay or a disability, contact your local school district and ask for a special education assessment. School districts are required to assess children beginning at three years old, even if they are not in school yet.

Alliance for Children’s Rights provides a guide to requesting services and sample letters to the school district.
