Rights in Detention
You have a right to call your parent or guardian, a responsible relative or your employer.
You have the right to call your EBCLO lawyer, your defense lawyer and your child welfare worker.
You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say to the police or to probation can and will be used against you.
You have the right to have your lawyer present with you during any questioning by the police. You will be assigned a defense lawyer who is someone different than your EBCLO lawyer. See more about talking to the police.
